Calvary Lutheran Church member Steve Cronin, the owner of 2 locations of Pizza Ranch in Rapid City, will be providing the chicken for tonight’s menu at a discounted cost.  According to Wikipedia, Broasting is a method of cooking chicken and other foods using a pressure fryer and condiments.  Pizza Ranch calls it THE COUNTRY’S BEST CHICKEN®, and after sampling it, I’d say it’s almost as good as my grandma used to make down in Rockland, Texas.  See you for dinner next Wednesday, and you can judge for yourself.

I’m so glad you’re back in the swing of things as well! Great to be reading your menus again :). We do chicken like this from our local Tom Thumb, and then make our sides and desserts like you do. Saves so much time! We are back in full force, too. Our first meal, we served around 450! That’s about an extra 100! It was crazy busy, and we ran out of chicken fried steak! Luckily, Costco is down the road and we finished the last 35-40 people with fried chicken. Last week we had hamburgers and fresh cut oven fries. This week will be homemade lasagna or spaghetti marinara, with roasted garlic broccoli. It’s fun to serve our people, in such a fun capacity, isn’t it? Hope all is well up north! And didn’t know you had Texas connections…my Nanny made the best fried chicken too :). Take care…
